Uretek serves an ace.

Tennis players in Bromley gained an extra month of play this past summer thanks to Uretek’s polymer injection system. Uretek were called in when ground stabilistion problems threatened to close two of the six courts at Bromley leisure centre for much of the summer.

Using polymer injection saved about a month on the work, according to Clive Wherrell, building surveyor and project manager for Bromley Council. “We would have had to dig out two tennis courts down to about 1.5 metres at least, and then refill it. So it saved us time, and it saved us a lot of money, probably in the region of £100,000. But it’s not so much the amount of time it saved as the amount of inconvenience it avoided, as the Bromley Tennis Centre is shared with a girls’ secondary school.

“Play was able to continue on courts 5 & 6 while Uretek worked on courts 1 & 2. We’re very pleased with the way the job was managed, and exceptionally pleased with the guys on site, who were absolutely excellent. We’d like to see people like that employed by all our contractors.”
